This story takes place in Atlantic City (before gambling was legalized there). A casino operator in Vegas has an "old buddy" in his childhood neighborhood that needs the services of a discreet private eye. King calls it a working vacation and takes the gig. He also visits Cape May, Wildwood, and Ocean City during this book.
