And Those Who Kill showed what life was like in the mind of a murderer. The most interesting thing is how the killer, Dave Ross, chose his victim (Greta) and his reasoning behind it. It's also pretty scary to read the last four chapters to fully understand the depth of his rage and insanity. This is again one of those books I don't think I could read a second time. Don't get me wrong, I regard The Crime Scene Trilogy as one of the best things I ever read, it's just that I don't like to see how vulnerable a victim can be or how evil their killer can be. It still gives me chills.

"I went to some of the top criminal psychologists and asked them to get me into the mind of this piece of garbage.", Dean mentioned in a 1988 interview about Part 2. "I don't know how these doctors do it everyday.  I never want to go back to that dark of a place in my mind again."
